StatSeed is StatSheet's postseason projections for all of Division I, including the NCAA Tournament, National Invitation Tournament (NIT), College Basketball Invitational (CBI), and the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Read more about how StatSeed is calculated.

StatSheet now projects NC State as an NCAA Tournament bubble team with a possible 12 seed. The Wolfpack are ranked #54 in the StatSheet StatRank with an 18-7 overall record and a 7-3 record in the ACC.

Over the last four games, NC State was steady with wins against Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Boston College but also dropped one against AP #19 Virginia.

NC State is weak against top competition, with a 4-6 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 1-5 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-4 record against AP ranked teams. While the Wolfpack have a single quality win against RPI #36 Miami (FL), they're also hampered by a bad loss to RPI #144 Georgia Tech.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Purdue (15-9, 5-6 Big Ten, StatRank #57), Brigham Young (20-6, 8-3 West Coast, StatRank #42), Arkansas (16-8, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #65), and Texas (15-9, 5-6 Big 12, StatRank #55).

The first four teams out are Colorado (16-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #71), Minnesota (17-8, 5-7 Big Ten, StatRank #69), Ole Miss (14-9, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #68), and Oregon (17-7, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #70).

The next four out are Arizona (17-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #64), Pittsburgh (15-10, 4-8 Big East, StatRank #67), St. Joseph's (PA) (15-10, 5-5 A-10, StatRank #48), and Xavier (16-8, 7-3 A-10, StatRank #61).
